Safety and security on a terminal or aboard a vessel is becoming the top priority
for Port Authority or mariner. As experts in the field of marine consulting for security, we will provide all of the needed
inspections, criteria, training and consultation required to make the vessel or port terminal function and operate both
successfully and in full accordance with USCG standards. We will ensure that the facilities are operating within local,
state and federal laws and regulations ranging from health to safety audits. Failing inspections the first time around,
or not operating within USCG and Federal requirements can be costly to your business and reputation.
Captain Bradley Marine Consultants (CBMC) is a marine consulting company with a focus on serving small to medium sized ports, marinas, terminal operators, vessel owners and logistics firms using the waterways of the North America.
CBMC is one of very few security consulting firms to have extensive experience and knowledge in the maritime industry. Unlike many consulting firms, we focus on the industry and those that play an integral part. We bring together systems, methods, mechanics, and ideas associated with the security, integrity, political visibility and effective management of transportation hubs into a cohesive strategy.
At CBMC, we provide complete consulting services for C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnerships Against Terrorism) including ports on CSI (Customs Security Initiative) with foreign cargo. We perform security assessments including marine terminal security issues, risks, and vulnerability and propose mitigation strategies. We aid in writing port security grant applications, essential for funding your enhanced facility and operational security projects.
We have the qualified personnel, resources and experience to provide owners, managers and operators with a wide range of marine surveying, operational analysis, maritime engineering and construction, safety (land and vessel) reviews and inspections, master planning, strategic maritime business planning and other support services to meet the everyday and emergency needs of ship operations, insurance and environmental interests.
Our highly leveraged and deeply experienced staff will address the most difficult and rapidly emerging problems in our open, highly inter-connected world. Our primary goals are providing our customers with:
- Short and long-term security policies based on an understanding and discovery of complex commerce activities;
- Sound policy assessments and operational recommendations;
- A fusion of leading-edge technologies, knowledge, and approaches for the integration of daily operations with the need for in-depth and highly effective security;
- Container location storage, management and shipping optimization; and
- Provide opportunities for structured growth and expansion;
CBMC’s strengths, experience and expertise qualify us to be a lead contractor for studies, programs and projects in line with the Transportation Security Agency (TSA), US Coast Guard (USCG) and First Responders. We have been involved in Operation Safe Commerce (OSC), Customs-Trade Partnerships Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), Port Security Assessments, the Maritime Administration (MARAD) Hardening Grants Program, and the Maritime Security Act of 2001.
While our initial focus is in the area of marine terminals and related logistics facilities, we will also accept targets of opportunity that include rail, air, road (trucking), and inland-water services. Although we are not in the business of supplying brick-and-mortar solutions (e.g., perimeter fences, buildings, guard services) our mission is highly complementary to these activities. We are able to sub-contract or recommend a qualified and competent service provider for jobs that are beyond our capabilities.
